Rick Bavec is the managing member and a founding member of Tolaris, LLC, a diversified real estate development, brokerage and home building company. Bavec formerly served as a top local executive for NTS Development Corp., one of the nation’s most respected developers of multi-family, commercial office projects and luxury communities.
Tolaris Homes purchased 55 remaining home sites at Lake Forest, the premier luxury community NTS Corp. developed on SR 46 in north Seminole County, Florida.
Bavec’s professional expertise includes project management, acquisition analysis, land planning, economic model development, feasibility analysis, financial analysis, budget planning, product development and margin analysis, golf course operations, homeowners association management, centralized sales and marketing operations, and managed residential resale operations.
A Certified Residential Contractor, Bavec began his career in community development and home building in the 1970s. He served as an executive with Arvida/St. Joe Company in its homebuilding and development divisions. During the 1980s he began specializing in Seminole County, one of the nation’s most desirable regions.
Bavec has been a licensed Florida Real Estate Broker since 1982 and is a Certified New Homes Specialist (CSP), a licensed Florida Residential Builder and a CCIM candidate with the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute.
Bavec currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce, and serves as Chairman of the Business and Economic Development Committee.
He is a member of the American Home Builders Association (AHBA), the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Mid-Florida Home Builders Association (HBA).
Bavec is also a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), Florida Association of Realtors (FAR) and the Central Florida Association of Realtors.
